Where Do You Fit In?

Recently Societies Committee have been discussing the current categories that our Societies fit into and how best we group their activities and represent their needs.

Couldn't think of an appropriate photo... so heres a slightly related meme!

Currently we have split societies into 7 categories and (seeing as we are looking to remove Performing Arts from the equation) it has been proposed that we move from these 7:

  1. Departmental
  2. International
  3. Performing Arts
  4. Political
  5. Postgraduate
  6. Religious
  7. Social

To these 12:

  1. Departmental
  2. Religious
  3. International
  4. Postgraduate
  5. Medical
  6. Political
  7. Activities
  8. Social Awareness
  9. Creative
  10. Enterprise
  11. Lifestyle
  12. Outdoors

This is going to be discussed at the next Societies Committee  and we would love your opinion on:

a. The categories ( Names, the number of categories, is there a better way of splitting them?)

b. Where you fit in? (Do you like where youve been placed)

c. Should societies commitee have a representative for each of these areas on it?
